Darren Maguire
Born in Dublin, Darren started his restaurant career in Joel’s restaurant when he was just fourteen, working for chef patron and proprietor Noel McMahon, one of Ireland’s most successful restaurateurs, after three years there he moved to gain experience in a number of well known establishments including the ivy court restaurant, the Ardinode hotel and the plaza hotel.
It was in 2004 that Darren embarked on a new venture when he opened the Lotts café bar as a franchisee to the largest publican in Ireland, Mr. Louis Fitzgerald.
Now open 3 years, the Lotts café bar offers a unique and unparallel friendly personal service, informal dining, top class bistro style food menu, where all meals are cooked to order and of the highest standard.
In 2007 Darren took over restaurant operations at the newly refurbished and just recently reopened Baggot inn, one of the most historical bars in Ireland.
Here Darren offers fine dining meze plates, an exciting new concept in Ireland, a lunch menu and an informal /casual dining a la carte menu.
